The digital control package is
standard on all models.
It features a microprocessor based,
digital readout controller for
precise control and accuracy.

All Standard Models Include . . .

• Automatic, microprocessor based controller with type K thermocouple assembly and lead wire.
• SCR Power Controllers and Temperature controls which are mounted on the side or in a free standing Nema 1 rated cabinet for ready access and service.
• Heavy duty, low watt density, wire type elements for maximum heating element life located in the top and both sides of the heating chamber. All units have a brick hearth and water cooled circulating fan in back wall for high temperature uniformity.
• Maximum watt density approximately 11 watts per square inch of heating element surface.
• Safety door switch interlock for power control. Power is off when door opens.
• Atmosphere muffles available on units up to Model HTE-2424-30. Larger units are also atmosphere capable without muffle. (Inert gas only.)
• Side opening door with cam lock mechanism. Larger units have vertical lift doors.
• A minimum of 4-1/2" of refractory insulation.
• Hard, wear resistant refractory door sills.
• Heavy steel plate fabricated furnace case.

Atmosphere control option decreases the door opening by one (1") inch in all directions
and the chamber depth by one (1") inch on units with stainless steel muffle.

Currently the largest of MIFCO's standard units, this model is available with a solid brick bottom or a pnuematic powered, car bottom. The designation HTE stands for High Temperature Electric and this unit is designed and built to the same high standards of quality that all MIFCO units have. The new, larger HTE series employ water cooled circulation fans for excellent temperature uniformity. Inert Atmospheres can also be introduced into the chamber. Call us for further details.

Modular Heating Element Design:

One of the key elements in the new design are standardized heating element sizes, used in various combinations to achieve several different standard sizes. These new elements are easy to replace and relatively inexpensive, compared to other designs. Heat up times are very fast with excellent temperature control provided by SCR power controllers. The SCR's also will help to extend the life of the heating elements.
