MTE-Medium Temperature Electric Furnaces
MTE-5590-60-CB
 |
In 1998, MIFCO introduced the MTE line of furnaces to compliment its
other lines of Heat Treat furnaces. The MTE furnaces use inconel sheathed
tubular heating elements, which are considerably less expensive that the
ceramic fiber high temperature panels. Tubular elements also typically have
a very long service life. These elements are the same type as are used in
the LTE series, but with a higher temperature rating
The MTE furnaces have a maximum operating temperature of 1600 degrees
F. This maximum temperature allows a few more operations to be performed
without having the higher expense of maintaining a high temperature furnace.
There are 12 models to choose from in the MTE series. All models have
a circulating fan for good temperature uniformity. Larger units have fans
with water cooled bearings and include a self contained cooling unit for
the cooling fluid.
Each unit is built to the same heavy duty standards that the entire line
of MIFCO products is known for. Starting with the MTE-3636-48, units are
available with a hydraulically or pneumatically driven car bottom. The door on this model
and larger units is also hydraulic or pneumatically powered with a vertical lift.
All units are furnished with digital controls and SCR power controllers
mounted in a Nema 1 type control panel. Many other control options are available.
