OVEN-TYPE
FORGE FURNACE
Models FHT-57
and FHT-57 AC
The combination
Forge and Heat Treat furnace is designed specifically for the
School Shop, where a single unit is required for heat treating
or for hot bending, forming and forging operations. Sound in
design, built of quality materials, these furnaces are capable
of long and satisfactory service. Their compactness and
flexibility are definite assets in the conservation of
valuable floor space. The hearth size is 6 in. wide by 14½ in.
deep. Overall inside depth between doors is 18 in. The front
opening is 5 in. high by 7 in. wide; the rear opening is 5 in.
by 7 in., with hinged, drop type doors which serve as work
rests for end heating bars for forging. Long bars may be
selective heated by opening both doors and positioning the
area to be heated in the furnace chamber. The spiral firing
principal used in the Spiro-Therm furnaces develop rapid,
uniform temperatures throughout the heating chamber.
The FHT-57 is
available in two styles. The standard model has spark ignition
and a Combustion Safeguard Safety System. The AC model has a
Temperature Control System in addition to the standard Safety
System for accurate control of the furnace chamber for use in
heat treating.
