![]() |
The F-100A is designed for School Shops and Blacksmithing and is ideal for general forge work, tool dressing and spot heating for Ornamental Iron Work projects. Outstanding features are small floor space requirements, rapid heating, and flexibility. Several people can work the forge simultaneously. Work is always visible, thus preventing burning and overheating of the steel. Clean, fast heating allows the instructor to utilize the shop period to the fullest advantage.
The F-100A is constructed of heavy sheet steel and structural members, reinforced and electric welded. The combustion chamber is lined with High Alumina Fire Brick, backed by high temperature castable insulation. High Alumina withstands extreme temperatures and abrasion to provide exceptional service life. Intense heat is reflected back to the work by the overhead refractory baffle. The Gas/Air Mixer operates efficiently with either natural or propane fuel. The standard mixer is a two valve, manual control type which permits the operator to adjust the flame to any characteristics desired. Combustion Safeguard Systems with spark ignition and continual flame monitoring are standard equipment on all forging furnaces.
A twenty two gauge sheet metal hood can be purchased with the forge as an accessory. A rigid exhaust stack can be mounted directly to the hood. An electric welded quench tank made of 12 gauge steel, complete with tong rack, is offered as an accessory item.
